Mandatory Skills : API Testing - REST API- 4+, REST Assured, testing microservices, Experience in EDA(Event Driven Architecture).

Mandatory Skills :

1. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

2. Extensive hands-on technical expertise, including experience with Java.

3. Experience testing RESTful web services using Rest Assured and POSTMAN

4. Experience working on unit testing tools like Cucumber BDD

5. Experience with all aspects of software test, including test planning, test automation, failure mode test, etc.

6. Experience with build automation and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).

7. Ability to estimate effort and size of features

8. Experience with agile development methodologies and test driven development processes

9. Experience using source control (esp. Git) and bug tracking systems in a team environment.

Responsibilities of a Senior Automation Tester :

1. Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts :

- Create and maintain robust, scalable, and high-quality automated tests using Java and test automation frameworks such as Cucumber BDD.

- Ensure reusability and maintainability of test scripts for long-term test automation coverage.

2. API Testing :

- Design and execute automated tests for RESTful web services using tools like Rest Assured and Postman.

- Validate API functionality, reliability, performance, and security.

3. Test Planning and Strategy :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies to validate complex software systems.

- Define and maintain testing standards and best practices.

4. Continuous Integration and Build Automation :

- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.

- Ensure tests run automatically and reliably with each code check-in.

5. Agile and TDD Collaboration :

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

- Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to support Test Driven Development (TDD) and behavior-driven testing.

6. Defect Management and Troubleshooting :

- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools integrated with Git and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.

7. Effort Estimation and Planning :

- Estimate testing effort for new features or regression scope.

- Provide accurate timeframes for test case development and execution.

8. Mentoring and Technical Leadership :

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers on automation best practices and coding standards.

- Drive improvements in testing efficiency, automation coverage, and overall software quality.

9. Quality Advocacy :

- Advocate for best practices in quality assurance across development teams.

- Ensure a high level of product quality and reliability before releases.
