About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium, BDD Frameworks (like Cucumber), and API testing using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of automation frameworks, software testing principles, and should be capable of designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation suites.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.

- Implement and maintain automation frameworks such as BDD (Cucumber, JBehave).

- Perform API testing using Rest Assured, ensuring end-to-end validation of backend services.

- Work closely with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

- Debug, maintain, and improve automation scripts for better stability and coverage.

- Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution.

- Ensure test automation best practices are followed across projects.

- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality delivery.

Required Skills :

- Strong programming experience in Core Java.

- Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.

- Proficiency in BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave, or SpecFlow).

- Experience with API automation testing using Rest Assured.

- Good understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and agile methodologies.

- Familiarity with Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and TestNG/JUnit.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-based testing platforms.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools or mobile automation.

- Exposure to microservices testing and data validation using SQL.
