Role Overview :

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer specializing in Cypress, you will be instrumental in shaping the quality assurance landscape for our cutting-edge products. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable automation frameworks and comprehensive test suites, primarily leveraging Cypress and JavaScript.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and other QA engineers within an Agile/Scrum environment, driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, reliable software solutions that enhance user experience and drive significant business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced test automation frameworks using Cypress and JavaScript, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

- Develop and execute comprehensive automation test suites for web applications, encompassing functional, regression, and UI/UX testing.

- Implement robust API testing strategies for RESTful APIs, including data validation and contract testing, utilizing tools and techniques for JSON payload analysis.

- Integrate automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and accelerating release cycles.

- Collaborate actively with development and product teams in an Agile/Scrum setting to define test strategies, identify critical test scenarios, and ensure early defect detection.

- Mentor junior automation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and best practices in SDET principles.

- Utilize Jira for effective test case management, defect tracking, and reporting on test execution progress and quality metrics.

- Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter to identify bottlenecks and ensure application responsiveness under load.

- Work with SQL databases to validate data integrity and ensure backend system accuracy.

- Leverage cloud platforms for test environment setup, execution, and management, optimizing resource utilization.

- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and tools, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end test automation frameworks using Cypress and JavaScript.

- Proficient ability to lead and execute comprehensive automation strategies for web applications, including advanced UI/UX testing techniques.

- Strong command over API testing, specifically with RESTful APIs, including the ability to analyze and validate complex JSON structures.

- Proven capability in integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines, contributing to a seamless and efficient delivery process.

- Deep understanding and practical application of SDET principles, advocating for quality throughout the development lifecycle.

- Experienced in working within Agile/Scrum methodologies, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving requirements.

- Skilled in using Jira for comprehensive test management, defect tracking, and reporting.

- Practical experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter to identify and address performance bottlenecks.

- Competence in SQL for database querying, validation, and data integrity checks.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms for deploying and managing test environments.
