Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API automation testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams in an Agile environment to improve test coverage and release quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver.

- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.

- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation solutions following the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.

- Perform API automation testing using Rest Assured.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Execute regression, smoke, functional, integration, and API test suites.

- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

- Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong hands-on experience in Java programming.

- Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for web automation testing.

- Experience designing automation frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM).

- Strong experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured.

- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Working knowledge of JavaScript for test automation where applicable.

- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle, and QA best practices.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with TestNG or JUnit.

- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

- Familiarity with SQL and database validation.

- Experience with performance or security testing tools is an added advantage.

- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms is a plus.

Education:

- UG: Any Graduate
