Job Title : Senior Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in backend-focused test automation, API testing, and message-based systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Java automation frameworks, Selenium, Rest Assured, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with enterprise automation frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD)

- Perform backend and API automation testing using Rest Assured and Spring Boot

- Validate JSON and XML payloads across APIs and messaging systems

- Test messaging queues and streaming platforms such as IBM MQ and Kafka

- Write and optimize SQL queries for backend data validation across SQL Server, SAP HANA, and related databases

- Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing using Selenium Grid

- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, and Git

- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders for requirement analysis and quality assurance

- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA

- Support environment setup, test planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

- Ensure high-quality deliverables in fast-paced Agile environments

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of QA Automation experience

Strong expertise in :

- Automation Testing (80%)

- Functional Testing (20%)

- Java Programming

- Selenium WebDriver

- API Testing

- Rest Assured

- SQL

- Jenkins CI/CD Pipelines

- Git / Bitbucket

- Hands-on experience with TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), JUnit, and Spring Framework

- Experience working with IBM MQ, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies

- Strong backend/database validation experience

- Experience with Postman and SOAP UI

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes preferred

- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms preferred

- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare will be an added advantage

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to work independently and in distributed Agile teams
