Senior Automation Test Engineer SAP Products

Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Automation Test Engineer with deep expertise in SAP testing frameworks, particularly START and Selenium, to join our Quality Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP products.

This role demands a strong understanding of SAP's quality processes and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in test automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust automated test scripts using Selenium and START for SAP applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and QA to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to support regression and functional testing.

- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects using SAPs standard tools and processes.

- Ensure adherence to SAPs quality guidelines, standards, and best practices.

- Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions.

- Continuously evaluate and improve test automation processes and tools.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 810 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in SAP environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and START tool.

- Solid understanding of SAP Quality processes, guidelines, and lifecycle.

- Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for test script development.

- Experience with test management tools (e., HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automation tests.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- ISTQB or equivalent certification.

- Experience with SAP UI5, Fiori, or other SAP front-end technologies.

- Exposure to performance testing and security testing tools.

- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (e., SAP BTP).
