Senior Automation Engineer (Playwright + Typescript).

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who can design, implement, and drive a robust test automation strategy.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Selenium-based frameworks and recent, hands-on expertise with Playwright and TypeScript.

This role involves leading a team, shaping the automation vision, and ensuring high-quality releases by leveraging modern automation tools and practices.

Three Must-Haves :

- Recent hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.

- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and advanced automation framework design.

- Proven leadership experience in leading test automation teams and delivering scalable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Automation Strategy & Framework Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks with Playwright (TypeScript) and Selenium.

- Establish and enforce automation best practices and coding standards.

- Modernize legacy frameworks to support current and future business needs.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation strategy, scope, and test coverage.

- Develop and execute automated test suites for regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.

- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

Leadership & Mentorship :

- Lead, mentor, and upskill automation engineers.

- Conduct peer code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.

- Guide the team in troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Stakeholder Management :

- Partner with product owners, developers, and project managers to align testing with business priorities.

- Provide detailed reports and metrics to track automation progress and ROI.

Innovation & Process Improvement :

- Continuously evaluate emerging tools and technologies to optimize automation.

- Promote Agile and DevOps-driven testing practices for faster delivery cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in software test automation.

- 4+ years of recent, hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.

- Strong command over Selenium WebDriver with Java or C#.

- Deep understanding of automation frameworks, patterns, and design principles.

- Solid experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

- Strong API automation knowledge using Playwright API, Postman, or RestAssured.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to Have :

- Cloud-based testing experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

- BDD experience using Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar frameworks.

- Performance testing exposure with tools like JMeter or Gatling.
