Job Title : Senior Atlassian Migration Specialist

Function : Atlassian Tools Administration, Migration, Jira & Confluence Cloud, Agile, DevOps, Python, Cloud, AWS, Linux/Unix

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities :

- Jira/Confluence/JSM System administration

- Supports Agile tool adoption and consistent utilization, to ensure that the process is driving the way the tool is utilized.

- Actively work on user tickets related to Jira/JSM/Confluence.

- Actively participate in the planning, execution, and management of the Jira, JSM and Confluence migration from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud.

- Migrating data between Jira environments and executing project imports.

- Contribute to the creation and implementation of comprehensive migration strategies and project plans.

- Write automation and scripting for migration and data integrity

- Perform post-migration adjustments, including screens, schemas, and workflows.

- Utilize Atlassian migration tools (e.g., Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant) for efficient and accurate data transfer.

- Identify and proactively address potential migration risks and challenges to ensure minimal downtime.

- Apply an in-depth understanding of Jira architecture, migration methodologies, and cloud technologies during the migration process.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, data accuracy, and successful migration outcomes.

- Contribute to documentation of migration processes, lessons learned, and best practices.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications :

- Jira/Confluence/JSM system administration

- Jira Workflow experience including :

1. ScriptRunner/Groovy

2. Jira Misc Workflow Extension (JMWE)

3. Jira Workflow Toolbox (JWT)

- JSU Automation

- 10+ years of proven experience migrating Jira from Data Center to Cloud environments.

- 10+ years of hands-on experience with data transfer, system configuration, and user setup in Atlassian environments, including post-migration fixes.

- Solid understanding of Jira configuration and development principles, managing both global and local configurations.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Jira architecture, various migration strategies, and cloud technologies.

- Proficiency in Atlassian migration tools with awareness of common migration challenges and proven mitigation approaches.

- Strong understanding of the core concepts and differences between Jira Cloud and Data Center environments, and their implications for migration.

- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
