Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced AS/400 Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM i/AS/400 application development and production support. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, Free Form RPG, CL, DB2/400, SQL/400, DDS, and ILE concepts. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, test, and support applications on the AS/400 (IBM i) platform.

- Develop and maintain applications using RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, and Free Form RPG.

- Work extensively with CL, DB2/400, SQL/400, QUERY/400, and AS/400 utilities.

- Develop and maintain DDS, Physical Files, Logical Files, SQL Files, Stored Procedures, and complex SQL queries.

- Apply ILE concepts, including procedures, service programs, modules, and functions.

- Handle batch processing, data extraction, EDI processes, and application interfaces.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely technical resolutions.

- Perform application and database performance tuning and optimization.

- Participate in AS/400 modernization and application enhancement initiatives.

- Prepare technical designs, estimates, technical specifications, and related documentation.

- Understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve technical queries.

- Ensure application quality, reliability, maintainability, and adherence to technical standards.
