Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior API Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in API testing and automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs and services, ensuring high-quality releases in agile environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop API automation test scripts using REST Assured and JavaScript.

- Perform testing of REST and SOAP APIs using GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, DELETE methods.

- Validate status codes, response headers, and JSON/XML response bodies.

- Implement various authentication and authorization mechanisms in test automation.

- Develop and execute end-to-end (E2E) API test cases based on business and functional requirements.

- Maintain and optimize regression test suites, troubleshoot failures, and fix broken test cases.

- Work within the Agile methodology, contributing to planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams for defect lifecycle management.

- Use GitHub/GitLab for source control and version management.

- Utilize tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, SourceTree, JIRA, and CI/CD platforms.

- Integrate API automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

- Provide accurate status reporting and escalate issues in a timely manner.

- Understand and interpret business requirements and specifications to create effective test strategies.

- Exposure to PowerShell scripting is an added advantage.
