Role Overview :

The Senior Android Developer designs, builds, and maintains Android applications used by thousands (or millions) of users. The role works closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver performant, scalable, and user-friendly mobile experiences. It requires strong technical leadership, product thinking, and the ability to own complex features and systems from concept through release.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust Android applications using modern Android frameworks

- Own complex features end-to-end : architecture, implementation, testing, and release

- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define and ship new features

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

- Optimize performance, reliability, and app responsiveness across devices

- Perform code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

- Troubleshoot production issues and implement scalable fixes

- Contribute to architectural evolution and technical roadmap

- Drive technical decisions and platform standards

Required Qualifications :

- 7-8 years of professional Android development experience

- Strong proficiency in Kotlin

- Experience in Java and RxJava

- Experience building and shipping Android apps to Google Play

- Solid understanding of Android SDK and Jetpack libraries

- Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views

- Experience with REST APIs and networking layers

- Strong knowledge of mobile app architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, etc.)

- Experience with concurrency (Coroutines, Flow)

- Familiarity with local data storage (Room, SQLite, DataStore, or similar)

- Experience writing unit and UI tests

- Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools

- Knowledge of mobile UX and Material Design best practices

- Experience with analytics, logging, and monitoring tools

- Familiarity with feature flags and remote config

- Experience working in cross-functional teams

- Experience with Agile methodologies

- Fintech apps experience
