Senior Analytics / Data Engineer

Experience: 5+ Years

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)

Work Mode: Hybrid / Remote

Shift: US Shift 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST

Joining: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Analytics / Data Engineer / Data Analyst to join our data and analytics team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, ETL, Azure data services, and Microsoft Fabric, with the ability to build scalable analytics solutions and deliver actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

- Build complex data models and implement advanced DAX calculations.

- Develop efficient data transformation workflows using Power Query (M).

- Design and maintain semantic models for analytics and reporting.

- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

- Work with Microsoft Fabric to build and support modern data and analytics solutions.

- Perform data analysis and transformation using Python or R.

- Implement version control and CI/CD practices using Git and related tools.

- Work with dbt for data transformation and modeling.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

- Troubleshoot data, reporting, and performance issues and continuously optimize analytics solutions.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, BI, or a related field.

- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

- Advanced knowledge of DAX.

- Strong understanding of Power Query / M.

- Experience in semantic/data modeling and Row-Level Security.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.

- Experience with Azure Databricks.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.

- Proficiency in Python or R.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD.

- Knowledge of dbt and modern data transformation practices.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
