Senior AI Engineer - Data Modeling

We are hiring a Senior AI Engineer to join our fast-growing AI product startup.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and scalable cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and deploy AI-native applications using Generative AI, LLMs, and data platforms.

- Translate business and product requirements into scalable AI solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and data science to implement features and functionalities.

- Develop applications leveraging Speech-to-Text (STT), Text-to-Speech (TTS), and other conversational AI platforms and APIs.

- Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure robust system design and high availability.

- Build cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS, using modern DevOps and deployment

practices.

- Continuously research, evaluate, and experiment with new AI/ML models and frameworks to

improve application performance and user experience.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and participate in peer code reviews.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to fostering a collaborative team environment.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in AI

product/application development.

- Proven experience in building AI-first or AI-native products, especially those involving Gen AI

or Foundation Models.

- Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or similar backend programming languages.

- Good understanding of ML lifecycle, model integration, and API development.

- Experience with Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech platforms is a strong plus.

- Exposure to cloud-native development and deployment, ideally on AWS.

- Understanding of system design, microservices architecture, and scalable backend systems is

desirable.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

- Alumni of premier institutions such as IITs, BITS, or those with equivalent pedigree will be an

added advantage.

- Should have hands-on experience in building AI-first or AI-native applications and be

comfortable working across the full product lifecycle from architecture to deployment.
