Senior Tech Lead / Architect:

No-Code Test Automation Platform (Go + Next.js):

Role Summary:

We are building a no-code / low-code test automation platform focused on solving real-world challenges like flaky tests, high maintenance, and poor debugging.

Were looking for a hands-on Senior Tech Lead / Architect who can design the system, guide the team, and drive execution with strong ownership.

Our stack includes: Backend: Go, Gin, GORM; Frontend: Next.js, Jotai, shadcn/ui, HeroUI.

This role combines product thinking, architecture, and execution leadership.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

1. Drive End-to-End Ownership Culture:

- Ensure engineers take full responsibility from idea to production validation.

- Build a culture where work moves forward without constant follow-ups.

- Encourage proactive decision-making and accountability.

2. Drive Execution Excellence:

- Ensure predictable and smooth delivery cycles.

- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across development and release.

- Continuously improve engineering practices and team efficiency.

3. Define System Architecture:

- Design scalable backend systems using Go (Gin, GORM).

- Architect modern frontend systems using Next.js ecosystem.

- Make clear trade-offs between speed, flexibility, and maintainability.

4. Shape the Product:

- Translate real QA problems into meaningful product decisions.

- Define the right abstraction for no-code automation (not a thin wrapper over tools like Playwright or Selenium).

- Focus on long-term usability and maintainability.

5. Build for Reliability:

- Design systems that reduce flaky tests.

- Ensure strong debugging and observability capabilities.

- Prioritize stability over superficial feature additions.

6. Stay Hands-On:

- Contribute to critical backend and frontend components.

- Set engineering standards through real code contributions.

7. Guide and Mentor the Team:

- Strengthen engineering judgment and ownership mindset.

- Encourage clear, async-first communication.

- Reduce dependency on specific individuals by building team autonomy.

Required Skills:

1. Backend:

- Strong expertise in Go.

- Experience with frameworks like Gin and ORMs like GORM.

- Building scalable APIs and distributed systems.

2. Frontend:

- Deep experience with Next.js and React.

- Familiarity with state management like Jotai.

- Experience with modern UI systems like shadcn/ui or HeroUI.

3. Devops:

- Deep understanding of building pipelines preferably using Jenkins.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Containerization.

- Understanding and working with Terraform for AWS ecosystems.

4. Testing Domain Expertise (Added Advantage):

- Hands-on experience with: 1. Playwright, 2. Cypress, 3. Selenium.

- Strong understanding of: 1. Flaky tests, 2. Locator strategies, 3. Automation maintenance challenges.

5. System Design:

- Strong experience in designing scalable systems.

- Ability to make practical trade-offs and architectural decisions.
