Role Overview :

We are looking for a Security Engineer III to design, implement, and scale advanced security solutions across cloud and perimeter environments. This role combines deep cloud security expertise with AI/ML-based threat detection, focusing on building intelligent, automated, and scalable security systems to protect modern distributed platforms.

You will work closely with cloud, platform, and engineering teams to strengthen the organizations security posture while leveraging machine learning to detect, classify, and respond to threats in real time.

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud & Infrastructure Security :

- Design and enforce security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

- Implement and manage cloud security services including IAM, encryption, key management, network security groups, and access policies.

- Secure hybrid and cloud-native infrastructures with a focus on scalability and resilience.

Perimeter & Network Security :

- Design and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation strategies.

- Integrate network telemetry with AI/ML models to enhance perimeter defence and threat visibility.

AI/ML-Driven Security Engineering :

- Build and deploy machine learning models for cybersecurity use cases such as :

Anomaly detection
Threat classification
Behavioural analysis

- Apply supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to detect emerging and unknown threats.

- Integrate AI/ML models into real-time and batch security pipelines.

Threat Detection & Incident Response :

- Leverage cloud-native AI-powered security tools (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats.

- Contribute to incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence workflows.

- Automate detection, alerting, and remediation wherever possible.

Security Automation & Scalability :

- Build and deploy security solutions in automated, scalable environments.

- Develop scripts and tools to improve detection accuracy and reduce manual intervention.

- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with strong expertise in cloud security and perimeter security.

- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud, including native security services.

- Strong understanding of network security protocols and enterprise security architectures.

- Proven experience applying AI/ML techniques in cybersecurity contexts.

- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with R, TensorFlow, Keras, or similar ML frameworks.

- Experience with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response frameworks.

- Ability to design and deploy security solutions in highly automated, production-scale environments.
