Role Summary:

Seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to own test strategy, automation framework development, and quality delivery across data, API, and UI layers at Edward Jones. The candidate will bring deep automation expertise and the ability to integrate quality engineering into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Serenity. Hands-on experience developing products using Java, Spring Boot, and database integration design, along with experience in requirement gathering, analysis, and user story refinement.

- Build and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured.

- Perform data validation, SQL-based testing, and data pipeline quality checks.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

- Test Data Platform, MDM, data pipelines, ETL processes, and Data APIs.

- Conduct various test types - unit, integration, API, smoke, system, and performance testing.

- Manage test data, test planning, and test execution across complex data and cloud environments.

- Work with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and ETL tools.

- Leverage AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to improve testing efficiency.

- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and product owners in an agile team.

Skills & Experience Required:

- 6+ Years of strong SDET experience, including hands-on framework design, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance of automation solutions, with strong command of Selenium, Java, Cucumber, Serenity and REST Assured for UI & API Automation.

- Proficient in SQL, test data creation, and data validation across complex data environments, including data platforms, master data management (MDM), data pipelines, ETL processing, data APIs, and data warehouse architectures.

- Solid working knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning & test management tools, covering unit, integration, API, smoke, system and performance testing.

- Experienced in release deployment across environments and in Agile, CI/CD and in-sprint automation setups, with Azure or AWS experience preferred, plus AI awareness and hands-on use of Github Copilot (GHCP) tools.
