Job Title : Senior Principal Oracle SCM/PTM Functional Consultant (Hybrid/Remote)
Role Summary :
The Senior Principal Oracle SCM/PTM (Procure-to-Manufacture) Functional Consultant is a critical leadership role responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Supply Chain Management (SCM) and related Fusion Cloud modules.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of core manufacturing and logistics processes, strong hands-on experience in EBS R12, and exposure to advanced cloud offerings like Subscription Management (Subscription), Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS), and Oracle Integration Agent (OIA). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and Oracle functionality, leading full project lifecycle implementations across a hybrid deployment model.
Core Responsibilities and Duties (EBS Focus) :
This position demands expert-level functional ownership of the Oracle E-Business Suite Discrete Manufacturing and Logistics modules (PTM/SCM). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
A. Functional Implementation & Configuration (70%) :
1. Solution Design and Requirements Gathering : Lead comprehensive requirements workshops, conduct detailed gap analysis against Oracle EBS R12 functionality, and translate complex business needs into detailed functional design documents (MD050s).
2. Core SCM Configuration : Own the end-to-end configuration, setup, and maintenance of the following core modules :
- Oracle Inventory (INV) : Expertise in item master, inventory organizations, sub-inventories, min-max planning, and on-hand management.
- Oracle Bills of Material (BOM) : Deep functional knowledge of standard and phantom BOMs, common BOM structures, and implementation of component control.
- Oracle Work in Process (WIP) : Full configuration of discrete and repetitive manufacturing, standard/non-standard jobs, routing setups, resource charging, and shop floor transaction management.
- Oracle Cost Management (CST) : Expert-level configuration of perpetual costing methods (Standard, Average, FIFO), inventory valuation, cost rollup processes, and reconciliation between Inventory/WIP and General Ledger (GL).
- Oracle Shipping Execution (WSH) : Configuration of picking, packing, ship confirmations, delivery management, and integration with Order Management (OM) and external carriers.
3. ASCP Integration (Preferred) : Provide functional support and configuration for Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), including setting up collection, planning parameters, forecast loading, and interpreting plan results.
4. Customization Management : Author and review Functional Design Specifications (FDDs) for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions (RICE components), serving as the primary liaison between business users and the technical development team.
B. Hybrid Cloud Integration & Modernization (20%) :
1. OIA (Oracle Integration Agent) Exposure : Understand the role of OIA or similar middleware in hybrid architectures to facilitate data exchange between Oracle EBS and Fusion Cloud applications.
2. Subscription & Billing : Possess working knowledge of Oracle Subscription Management Cloud processes, including subscription creation, amendments, pricing models (recurring, usage-based), and managing the subscription lifecycle.
3. Revenue Recognition (RMCS) : Exposure to Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) and its integration points with Order Management and Subscription Management to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 standards.
C. Support, Testing, and Training (10%) :
1. Lead and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and provide critical support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Go-Live/Cutover phases.
2. Provide Level 3 production support, including root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution of complex SCM issues, liaising with Oracle Support (raising SRs) when necessary.
3. Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and conduct end-user training for implemented solutions.
Required Qualifications and Experience :
- Total Experience : Minimum of 10+ years in Oracle Applications Functional Consulting, specializing in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
- Core EBS Experience : A minimum of 5 years of dedicated, hands-on functional implementation experience in Oracle EBS R12 (or higher) across the mandated modules : Shipping, Inventory, BOM, WIP, and Cost Management.
- Project Experience : Must have successfully completed at least 3-4 full lifecycle implementations of Oracle EBS SCM/PTM.
- Technical Acumen : Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries (joins, selects) for troubleshooting, data validation, and analysis.
- Business Process Knowledge : Deep understanding of industry-standard business processes related to Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and end-to-end Manufacturing flows.
- Communication : Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders (Business Users, Leadership).
- Hybrid Model : Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a Hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaborative work (as required by client needs) with remote delivery.
Preferred Skills and Certifications :
- Experience with ASCP (Advanced Supply Chain Planning) or other planning modules (GOP, Demantra).
- Functional knowledge or exposure to Oracle Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Working knowledge of Fusion Cloud SCM (e.g., Manufacturing Cloud, Inventory Cloud) and the modules referenced in this JD (OIA, RMCS, Subscription).
- Certifications such as Oracle EBS R12 Supply Chain Management Certified Professional or Oracle Cloud SCM Implementation Specialist.
- Experience with data migration strategies (conversion methodologies) and tools.
