Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Scrum Master with 8-13 years of experience to lead our Agile teams in Bangalore. You will be instrumental in driving the adoption and optimization of SAFe Agile principles within complex financial services environments. This role demands deep expertise in facilitating advanced Agile ceremonies, leveraging technical insights to resolve impediments, and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions, particularly within capital markets, trading, or clearing systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as a dedicated Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, ensuring rigorous adherence to SAFe Agile principles, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, tailoring application based on team maturity and project context.
- Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and crucially, contribute to and support PI (Program Increment) planning and synchronization within the Agile Release Train (ART).
- Guide and coach development teams on technical aspects of Agile engineering practices, such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Proactively identify and technically assess impediments, collaborating with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to implement robust solutions that unblock development flows.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps principles and automation within the teams, enhancing deployment frequency and reducing lead time.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), System Architects, and other technical stakeholders to align solution architecture with business value and technical feasibility.
- Drive alignment of technical team deliverables with broader business goals and the overall solution vision, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality financial services solutions.
- Track and report advanced Agile metrics, including technical debt trends, defect escape rates, build stability, lead time, cycle time, alongside traditional velocity and burn-down charts, providing data-driven insights into team performance and areas for technical improvement.
- Mentor team members on advanced Agile engineering practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and shared code ownership.
Required Skills :
- 8-13 years of total experience, with significant proven experience as a Scrum Master in SAFe Agile environments or other scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., LeSS, Nexus).
- Deep technical knowledge of the financial services industry, specifically within capital markets, electronic trading platforms, or clearing and settlement systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, with practical experience in implementing and coaching on SAFe 5.0 or higher.
- Excellent technical communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills, capable of engaging with highly technical teams.
- Ability to technically manage and support distributed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with technical concepts such as microservices architecture, cloud-native development, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API management.
Good To Have :
- SAFe certifications (SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Program Consultant, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master).
- Hands-on exposure to Agile lifecycle management and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps, including advanced configuration for reporting and workflow automation.
- Background in regulatory reporting, post-trade processing, or real-time risk management systems.
- Understanding of modern programming paradigms and development stacks (Java, Python, .NET, cloud platforms).
