Job Description

This is not a maintenance role. This is engineering leadershi powning the backend architecture of a global, privacy-first communication platform. You'll lead by example, guide a high-caliber team, and ensure our backend systems remain blazing-fast, rock-solid, and uncompromising on security.

Youll be at the intersection of code and leadership mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and setting engineering standards that define how a global product is built.

The client is the world's first zero-access, zero-spam enterprise communication product that operates on a structural privacy architecture. One thats already earned the trust of large enterprises like L&T Finance, Adani Group, and Kalyan Jewellers - just to name a few of our enterprise clients. This is not an MVP. This is production-grade software that secures communication for thousands-and soon, millions-of professionals worldwide.

Why this role Exists?

We are building fast. Features are shipping. Clients are going live. Enterprise expectations are real. This role is about owning execution, We need someone who ensures :

- No ticket gets lost

- No timeline slips unnoticed

- No sprint commitments are casual

- No release happens without structure.

What you will own :

- Sprint Discipline & Ticket Hygiene

- Run daily standups and sprint ceremonies

- Maintain Jira with accurate, real-time status

- Ensure tickets are well-defined, prioritized, and tracked

- No "in-progress forever" tickets

- No ambiguity in ownership

Delivery Ownership :

- Track committed sprint deliverables

- Identify risks early

- Escalate blockers immediately

- Ensure deadlines are respected

- You are accountable for timeline visibility and delivery predictability. Team Motivation & Energy Startups aren't 9-5 machines.

You will :

- Motivate teams to go the extra mile when required

- Keep morale steady during crunch phases

- Handle team tantrums, friction, and emotional spikes

- Balance empathy with accountability. You should know when to push and when to stabilize.

Release & Deployment Discipline :

- Set up clear SOPs for release management

- Define structured deployment workflows

- Ensure QA sign-offs are formalized

- Maintain release checklists

- Avoid last-minute chaos

- Releases should feel controlled, not rushed.


Cross-Team Coordination :

- Align Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps

- Ensure handoffs are clean

- Make sure nothing falls between teams

- Keep communication tight and structured No silos. No surprises.

Who we're looking for :

- 4+ years experience as Scrum Master / Delivery Manager / Project Manager in a product company

- Strong Agile & Scrum understanding

- Hands-on experience with Jira (or equivalent tools)

- Experience managing high-performance engineering teams

- Strong ownership mindset

- Calm under pressure

- Comfortable having tough conversations
