About the Role :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for Agile principles and practices, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment for our development teams.
You will play a crucial role in facilitating Scrum events, removing impediments, and coaching the team to continuously improve their processes and deliver exceptional value.
Responsibilities :
Facilitate Scrum Events :
- Plan and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
- Ensure that these events are conducted effectively and within the established timeboxes.
- Promote self-organization and cross-functionality within the team.
Remove Impediments :
- Identify and proactively remove impediments that hinder the team's progress.
- Work with stakeholders and other teams to resolve dependencies and address roadblocks.
- Escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Coach and Mentor the Team :
- Coach the development team on Agile principles and Scrum practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Help the team to become self-managing and accountable.
- Mentor team members in regards to Agile best practices.
Promote Agile Practices :
- Champion Agile and Lean methodologies within the organization.
- Educate stakeholders on the benefits of Agile and Scrum.
- Support the team in implementing and improving their Agile practices.
- Encourage the use of XP practices where applicable.
Manage Stakeholder Communication :
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and other teams.
- Provide regular updates on sprint progress and team performance.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Track and Report Progress :
- Maintain and track sprint metrics, such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time.
- Generate reports and dashboards to visualize team progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Change Management :
- Assist in organizational change management as it relates to Agile transformations.
- Help teams adapt to new processes and practices.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote Agile adoption.
Training :
- Plan, organize and deliver training to team members and stakeholders on Agile methodologies.
- Create and maintain training materials and documentation.
Required Skills and Experience :
Experience :
- 3-5 years of overall experience in software development or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Experience in change management and Agile transformations.
- Experience working with multi-functional teams.
- Experience in a multinational environment.
Agile Expertise :
- Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and facilitating Scrum.
- Experience with various Agile tools (e.g, Jira, Confluence)
