Role Overview

As a SCOM Administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and automating SCOM environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and proactive issue resolution across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain SCOM environments (2012R2/2016/2019)

- Tune management packs, create custom alerts, monitors, and rules

- Manage third-party and custom SCOM management packs

- Perform daily health checks, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

- Integrate SCOM with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Azure Monitor, etc.

- Configure alert thresholds, notification subscriptions, and escalation paths

- Onboard new servers and services into SCOM

- Generate performance and availability reports

- Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell scripts

- Establish and manage SCOM gateways

- Provide 247 support and on-call incident response

- Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues

Skills & Experience :

- 4-5 years managing Microsoft SCOM (2012R2/2016/2019)

- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation

- Proficiency in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS

- Experience integrating SCOM with ITSM tools like ServiceNow

- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
