SCM Engineer - DevOps

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and maintain Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, XL Release, and XL Deploy environments

- Manage branching, merging, tagging, and release strategies, ensuring best practices are followed

- Troubleshoot and resolve source control and integration issues

- Configure, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, Harness, and XL Deploy/XL Release

- Ensure seamless build, deployment, and release processes across environments

- Implement and enforce automation standards for continuous delivery

- Manage artifact repositories using Nexus Repository Manager (RM)

- Enforce quality gates and dependency checks via Nexus IQ

- Integrate and maintain code quality tools such as SonarQube

- Support and maintain containerized environments using Docker

- Collaborate with platform teams on Kubernetes orchestration for scalable deployments

- Work closely with development, QA, and operations to ensure smooth and reliable software releases

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of release processes

- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps

Required Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- Minimum of 3+ years in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Software Development roles

- Hands-on with Git, GitHub, and experience managing branching/merging strategies

- Strong experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Harness, XL Release, and XL Deploy

- Experience managing repositories with Nexus Repository Manager (RM) and enforcing quality via Nexus IQ

- Familiarity with SonarQube integration and usage

- Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

- Strong skills in Shell, Bash, or Python scripting for automation

Good to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm

- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
