Role Overview :
As a Machine Learning Researcher focused on Foundation Models, you will be at the forefront of developing large-scale generative and discriminative models tailored for geospatial data.
You will work closely with data scientists, remote sensing experts, and software engineers to translate cutting-edge research into production-ready algorithms.
Your work will directly impact how SatSure processes massive volumes of satellite imagery, enabling more accurate predictive analytics and automated insights for our enterprise clients across the globe.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and train large-scale foundation models using multi-modal satellite data to improve feature extraction and predictive accuracy across diverse geographic regions.
- Conduct rigorous experiments to optimize model architectures, focusing on efficiency and scalability to handle high-resolution imagery and time-series data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into existing production pipelines, ensuring high performance and reliability for end-users.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in deep learning and artificial intelligence to drive innovation in our proprietary geospatial intelligence platform.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical documentation to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and high-quality research standards.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and fine-tuning large-scale deep learning models, with a strong grasp of transformer architectures and self-supervised learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, with the ability to write clean, modular, and efficient code for research and production.
- Proven ability to translate complex mathematical concepts and research papers into functional algorithms that solve practical business challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field, with 3 - 6 years of experience in applied machine learning research.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Bangalore, demonstrating high adaptability to evolving project requirements and research priorities.
