Key Responsibilities :

- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex Versa Secure SD-WAN issues teams, customers, and partners.

- Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for advanced problems spanning SD-WAN overlay/underlay, integrated security stacks, multi-tenancy, high-availability failures, and performance degradation.

- Debug and resolve issues related to Versa Operating System (VOS), Control Plane (Controller), Data Plane, Analytics, and Director nodes.

- Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments, engage Versa Engineering/TAC when needed, and drive resolutions.

- Create and maintain detailed RCAs, knowledge base articles, scripts (Python/Bash), and best-practice documentation.

- Assist in major incident management, including bridge calls with customers during P1/P2 incidents.

- Provide guidance on advanced configurations, upgrades, migrations, and optimizations for Versa deployments (eg. : multi-cloud integration, SASE extensions).

- Collaborate with product management/engineering on feature gaps, bugs, and CVEs.

- Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support coverage.

- Occasionally support pre-sales/post-sales activities with deep technical expertise (eg. : design reviews, proof-of-concepts).

Required Technical Skills & Experience :

- 5 - 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking, with at least 35 years focused on Versa Secure SD-WAN (production deployments preferred).

Expert-level knowledge of Versa platform components :

1. Versa Operating System (VOS) architecture and CLI/GUI configuration.

2. Headend deployment (Director, Controller, Analytics).

3. Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), templates, device/appliance management.

4. Advanced routing : BGP (eBGP/iBGP, route reflectors), OSPF, static routing, VRFs, L3VPN.

5. SD-WAN specifics : Overlay tunnels (Full-mesh/Hub-Spoke), Application-Aware Routing (AAR), Forward Error Correction (FEC), Path selection policies, SLA monitoring, BFD.

6. Security stack : NGFW/UTM, URL filtering, IPS, Anti-Malware, SSL decryption, ZTNA, Secure Web Gateway.

7. VPN technologies : IPsec (IKEv1/IKEv2), GRE, DMVPN-like overlays, SSL VPN.

8. QoS, traffic shaping, NAT (SNAT/DNAT), DHCP, DNS proxy.

Strong troubleshooting toolkit proficiency :

i. Packet captures (tcpdump/Wireshark), flow analysis, log interpretation (syslog, Analytics dashboards).

ii. Performance diagnostics using Versa Analytics (reports, dashboards, alarms).

- Solid foundation in underlay networks : MPLS, broadband, LTE/5G, DIA, multi-transport active/active.

- Scripting/automation : Python or Bash for task automation (optional but highly preferred).

- Experience with multi-tenancy, virtualization (VMware/ESXi, KVM), and cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Certifications :

- Required : Versa Certified SD-WAN Specialist (VNX300) or higher.

- Highly Preferred : Versa Certified SD-WAN Professional (VNX400), or equivalent Security track certifications.

- Strongly Desired : CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching or Security), or comparable from Juniper/Palo Alto/Fortinet.
