Responsibilities :

- Execute manual and functional testing for Android OS features (Telephony, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Camera, Sensor, etc.).

- Validate new features, bug fixes, and regression scenarios after OS or kernel upgrades.

- Perform sanity, regression, and exploratory testing.

- Log defects using JIRA with proper logs, steps, and screenshots.

- Collaborate with developers and validation engineers to reproduce and verify issues.

- Perform basic ADB commands for log collection and functional validation.

- Perform end-to-end test execution : build flashing, sanity validation, regression testing, and defect triage.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) in collaboration with development and platform teams.

- Perform log analysis (logcat, dmesg, tombstones, radio logs) for debugging.

- Support automation using Python, Robot Framework, or Appium.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.

- Hands-on with Android device testing.

- Familiarity with ADB commands and log analysis (logcat, dmesg).

- Knowledge of basic Python scripting (added advantage).

- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Excel, TestRail, Jenkins (optional).

- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

- Strong understanding of Functional, System, and Regression testing methodologies.

- Ability to analyze kernel logs, crash logs, and modem traces.
