About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our IT Service Management (ITSM) and automation team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and customizing applications on the ServiceNow platform, with hands-on expertise in scripting, integrations, workflow automation, and module configuration.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions that enhance business processes, improve efficiency, and align with organizational goals.
This position requires close collaboration with ITSM process owners, business analysts, and other technology teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performance ServiceNow implementations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, configure, and customize applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CSM, etc.
- Implement and maintain Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and CMDB modules.
- Develop custom applications, UI pages, UI macros, and scripts (Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions).
- Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise tools using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
- Build and enhance reports, dashboards, and performance analytics to support business needs.
- Implement automation, notifications, and SLA configurations for improved service delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and manage end-to-end implementation.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Maintain platform upgrades, patches, and performance optimization.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and ITIL-based best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and core tables.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and Jelly scripting.
- Experience developing custom applications and integrations within ServiceNow.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM modules and good knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Familiarity with Service Portal, Flow Designer, and Scoped Applications.
- Experience working with ServiceNow Studio and Update Sets for deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Experience in ServiceNow ITOM, Discovery, or CMDB.
- Exposure to HRSD, GRC, SecOps, or Custom Scoped Applications.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines in ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with performance tuning, security policies, and role-based access control (RBAC).
