Role Overview :

We are seeking a SAS DI Studio ETL Specialist with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration workflows using SAS Data Integration Studio 4.9. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SAS programming, ETL design patterns, and strong analytical skills to help develop, enhance, and support enterprise data integration solutions.

- Build and manage job flows and orchestrate ETL job schedules based on business needs.

- Develop advanced Base SAS and SAS Macro programs for data manipulation, cleansing, validation, and reporting.

- Optimize SAS code for performance and maintainability.

- Analyze existing ETL processes and recommend improvements or refactoring for better performance and reliability.

- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data integration needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Troubleshoot issues across the ETL lifecycle including data quality, performance bottlenecks, and job failures.

- Ensure ETL designs follow data governance, security, and compliance requirements.

- Document all processes, data flows, and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

Technical Skills Required :

- SAS Data Integration Studio 4.9 strong hands-on experience in development and job orchestration

- Base SAS, Advanced SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL

- Strong understanding of SAS architecture and libraries

- ETL design techniques and data transformation best practices

- Working experience with DB2 or other RDBMS

- Experience in writing optimized SQL queries

- Familiarity with basic Unix/Linux shell commands

- Understanding of version control and job scheduling tools is a plus (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, etc.)
