Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Developer with expertise in Fraud Management to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAS development, including at least 2 years of experience in implementing SAS Fraud Management (SFM) solutions.
A strong understanding of fraud detection techniques, enterprise-level data structures, and supporting technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices is required. Prior experience in the banking or financial services domain is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement SAS Fraud Management (SFM) components and integrate them with enterprise systems.
- Work with business analysts and fraud teams to gather and understand requirements and translate them into robust SAS code.
- Develop and support custom fraud rules, scorecards, and analytics within the SFM ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend, frontend, data engineering, and risk teams to deliver integrated fraud solutions.
- Participate in the deployment and support of SAS Visual Investigator (VI) and its components.
- Leverage APIs and JSON data formats for data ingestion and system integrations.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets across various data sources.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable microservices in Java and Spring Boot to support fraud management modules.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation practices, version control, and security guidelines.
Technical Skills Required :
SAS Expertise :
- Proficient in SAS Base, SAS Macros, and advanced SAS procedures.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with SAS Fraud Management (SFM).
- Experience with SAS Visual Investigator (VI).
Database & Querying :
- Understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
Programming & Integration :
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON data formats.
System Design & Architecture :
- Experience in designing scalable, high-performance fraud detection systems.
Functional Skills :
- Experience in agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and testing standards.
- Capable of reviewing and influencing system architecture and design decisions.
- Ability to benchmark tools, perform technical evaluations, and recommend optimal solutions.
Soft Skills :
- Effective communicator with the ability to present technical concepts to senior stakeholders and business teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of critical tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detecting patterns and anomalies in data.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- SAS Certification (Base/Advanced/Fraud Management) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for fraud system deployment is an added advantage.
