We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS) Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess 5-8 years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP VMS solutions, with a strong understanding of automotive industry processes. This role requires a deep functional and technical understanding of SAP VMS, including its integration with other SAP modules and external systems. The consultant will be responsible for driving solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring that the SAP VMS solution meets business requirements and delivers optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Design & Implementation :

- Lead and participate in all phases of SAP VMS implementation projects, from blueprinting to go-live and post-implementation support.

- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for SAP VMS solutions.

- Design, configure, and customize SAP VMS functionalities, including vehicle configuration, sales order processing, purchasing, stock management, vehicle allocation, and delivery.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for solution designs, configurations, and processes.

Integration & Data Management :

- Ensure seamless integration of SAP VMS with other SAP modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FI/CO (Finance & Controlling), PP (Production Planning), and CS (Customer Service).

- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP developers, PI/PO consultants) for custom developments, interfaces, and data migrations.

- Manage master data related to vehicles, models, configurations, and business partners within SAP VMS.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Identify, analyze, and resolve defects and issues during testing phases.

- Ensure the quality and integrity of the implemented solution.

Support & Optimization :

- Provide expert functional and technical support for existing SAP VMS landscapes, troubleshooting issues and performing root cause analysis.

- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations within the VMS module.

- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment.

- Act as a subject matter expert for SAP VMS, advising on best practices and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Experience : 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP VMS implementation, configuration, and support.

SAP VMS Expertise : In-depth knowledge of SAP VMS functionalities, including :

- Vehicle Configuration and Characteristics

- Vehicle Order Management (Sales & Purchase)

- Vehicle Stock Management and Allocation

- Vehicle Inbound and Outbound Processing

- Dealer Business Processes

- Warranty and Service Integration (desirable)

Module Integration : Strong understanding of integration points between SAP VMS and other core SAP modules (SD, MM, FI/CO, PP).

Technical Acumen : Ability to debug ABAP code, understand technical specifications, and collaborate effectively with ABAP developers.

Business Process Knowledge : Solid understanding of automotive industry business processes, particularly in vehicle sales, distribution, and logistics.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with S/4HANA VMS.

- Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications relevant to VMS.

- Experience with SAP BRFplus for rule management within VMS.

- Project management or team lead experience.

- SAP certification in relevant modules.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
