Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax and Vertex Tax Engine. The role involves handling O2C and P2P tax processes, configuring VAT and Withholding Tax (TDS/WHT), and integrating external tax calculation systems. The consultant will also be responsible for system reviews, functional specifications, documentation, and support of Vertex-SAP integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work on SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax with Vertex integration.

- Implement and support tax processes in O2C and P2P cycles (minimum 1 implementation & 2 support projects).

- Configure Withholding Tax (WHT/TDS) including WHT codes, types, keys, and master data.

- Configure VAT including tax procedures, tax keys, tax conditions, and input/output tax codes.

- Perform system reviews and re-engineer business processes for standardization into SAP.

- Configure SAP Pricing with Tax Procedures for different business units.

- Create functional specifications and support WRICEF object development.

- Prepare business process documentation including process flows, BPPs, end-user guides, and FAQs.

- Design closed-loop regression testing for inbound/outbound processing (iDocs, XML).

- Develop custom reports for reconciliation of SAP FI tax data with Vertex Reporting/Returns databases.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax with Vertex.

- Hands-on experience in VAT and WHT/TDS configuration.

- Experience in external tax calculation (O2C & P2P).

- Ability to independently write Functional Specifications and develop Custom Objects.

- Good knowledge of Vertex Tax Engine and tax mapping concepts.

- Experience in tax calculations in Vertex vs SAP S/4HANA Tax.

- Strong knowledge of interfaces with third-party systems (Vertex).

- Experience with WRICEF methodology.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Knowledge of excise tax processing, compliance, and reporting.

- Exposure to custom reporting and reconciliation between SAP & Vertex.

- Ability to work in shifts as per business needs.

- Strong analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills.
