Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SAP Vertex Consultant with 8+ years of total experience and deep, specialized expertise in implementing and integrating Vertex tax solutions within the SAP ecosystem. The ideal candidate is Vertex certified and has managed 2-3 end-to-end Vertex implementation cycles covering various taxes (sales, use, GST, VAT). This role is critical for ensuring the uptime and performance of Vertex integrations, resolving complex incidents, performing root cause analysis, and supporting global tax compliance. Immediate to 15-day availability is required.

Key Responsibilities :

Vertex Implementation and Integration :

- Lead or support 2-3 end-to-end cycles of Vertex implementation covering sales tax, use tax, GST, and VAT.

- Collaborate closely with SAP consultants and Tax subject matter experts (SMEs) on the technical integration of Vertex with SAP S/4HANA, including comprehensive testing and defect management.

Technical Support and Maintenance :

- Be responsible for resolving high-priority incidents and performing thorough root cause analysis (RCA) to ensure the stability and uptime of the Vertex environment.

- Apply IT experience in implementing, testing, and maintenance of JAVA, J2EE Applications as both a JAVA Application developer and Vertex Consultant.

Tax Domain and Configuration :

- Utilize excellent knowledge in the Tax domain and specific experience with Vertex software versions 6.0, 8.0, and 9.0.

- Manage and execute store creation in Vertex.

- Perform Tax reconciliation to ensure accuracy between Vertex and financial systems.

Cross-System Integration :

- Apply experience integrating Vertex with various enterprise applications, including Point of Sale, CRM applications, Sales Audit systems (e.g., EPICOR), Merchandize Management systems (e.g., JDA), and E-commerce applications.

Data and Testing Expertise :

- Demonstrate expertise in ETL jobs using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), IBM DataStage, and SAP BODS. Utilize schedulers like Tidal Enterprise Scheduler.

- Possess excellent hands-on experience in End-to-End (E2E) testing specifically focused on Vertex integrated processes.

Qualifications :

Experience : 8+ years of total IT experience, with a heavy focus on SAP Tax solutions.

Vertex Certification : Must be Vertex certified with experience in 2-3 full implementation cycles (sales tax, use tax, GST, VAT).

SAP Integration : Good experience working with SAP consultants on Vertex integration with S/4HANA, including testing and defect management.

Technical Skills : Experience with JAVA/J2EE applications development/maintenance and strong expertise in ETL jobs (SSIS, DataStage, or BODS).

Vertex Knowledge : Excellent knowledge of the Tax domain and specific experience with Vertex versions 6.0, 8.0, and 9.0.

Testing : Excellent hands-on experience in E2E testing on Vertex.

Availability : Must be able to join immediately or within a 15-day notice period.

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
