Job Summary :
Key Responsibilities :
Functional Testing - AP & IM :
- Validate GR/IR reconciliation, invoice postings, credit memos, and exception handling.
- Test procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, vendor invoices, and vendor payments.
- Execute test cases related to inventory movements, stock transfers, adjustments, and valuation postings.
- Perform backend SAP table validations (MSEG, BSEG, MARA, EKPO, BKPF, etc.) to ensure data accuracy and reconciliation.
Test Planning & Execution :
- Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for AP and Inventory modules.
- Perform end-to-end testing of retail flows including DC-to-store deliveries, site-based rules, and pricing configurations.
- Validate batch jobs, document types, and configuration settings to ensure smooth processing across AP and IM scenarios.
Defect Management & Reporting :
- Log, track, and validate defects using tools like JIRA, Rally, or ALM.
- Provide daily status reports, defect metrics, and testing progress updates to the QA lead or project manager.
Data Validation & Reconciliation :
- Perform SQL queries and backend checks for invoice data, vendor master, and inventory balances.
Collaboration & Documentation :
- Work with business analysts, functional teams, and offshore/onsite stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, compliance requirements, and audit guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 36 years of experience in SAP QA/Testing with a focus on S/4HANA for Retail.
- Hands-on experience in validating GR/IR processes, invoice posting, stock movements, and reconciliation.
- Good understanding of SAP data tables (MSEG, BSEG, MARA, EKPO, BKPF, etc.) for backend validations.
- Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, Rally, ALM, or similar) and SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with retail industry processes, including DC-to-store deliveries, pricing, promotions, and site-specific rules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, follow directions, and complete tasks on time.
- Experience working in an offshore model is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Basic knowledge of SAP FI, MM, and SD integration points.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery cycles.
- Prior experience in large-scale SAP Retail implementations is desirable.
