What you'll need to Have.

The SAP Technical (ABAP) subject matter expert (SME), is a trusted advisor for business and IT, providing clear technology and process direction to stakeholders and performing the development and technical validation of SAP Technical solutions and ensure that they are in line with company and regulatory standards.

- Frontend - Fiori and GUI.

- Backend - S4HANA, SAP MDG, SAP BI and Ariba.

- Middleware - SAP PI/PO and CPI.

- AIF (Application Interface Framework).

- ODATA Developments.

- ABAP on HANA (CDS Views).

- SAP BTP (Application Development).

- BRF (Business Rule Framework).

We Prefer:.

- Formal qualifications in computer science, software engineering, or any engineering equivalent.

- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in experience in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) in SAP S/4 HANA.

- Design Scalable Solutions: Translate functional requirements into robust, modular, and future-proof ABAP designs.

- Enforce Development Standards: Define and govern coding guidelines, naming conventions, and quality checks using ATC/SCI.

- Lead Custom Code Strategy: Manage WRICEF lifecycle, custom code optimization, and clean core alignment.

- Collaborate & Guide Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams and mentor developers across delivery streams.

- Drive Modernization: Promote use of CDS, RAP, Fiori, and modern ABAP practices to support digital transformation.

- Strong analytical skills, ability to perform system analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution".

- Tools :

A Day in your life with us As ABAP SME, your main responsibilities will include :

- Participate and collaborate with the users, business analyst, and quality assurance/quality control analyst in the gathering of user requirements and specifications.

- Analyze technical and business requirements and translate these into basic and detailed technical design.

- Participate and conduct a feasibility study, research and development, prototyping, and proof of concept (PoC) in implementing new/existing systems, solutions, and processes.

- Participate in technical and project documentation such as but not limited to functional, system and technical design, requirements and specifications.

- Design and educate other engineers in ways of working, encouraging good practices to meet consumer expectations on Product or Service delivery.

- Define solution architecture and contribute to the landscape architecture.

- Explore and apply new technologies suitable for our product.

- Develop, customize, enhance, fix and maintain codes, applications and systems.

- Create test scenarios and data and conduct or participate in non-functional and functional testing (i.e., unit testing, system testing, integration testing, etc.

- Develop and review codes, programs and configurations to verify consistency and conformance with established programming and industry standards, guidelines, policies and practices.

- Conduct incident and problem analysis, data gathering, investigation and resolution of issues, and provide technical consultancy, assistance and support.

- Identify, assess and recommend opportunities for application and process improvement.

- Actively participate in and lead the peer review and status meetings to communicate progress and escalate risks and roadblocks.

- Prepare training materials and provide assistance in conducting the training to users or other members of the team.
