Role Overview :

Spearsoft is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Cloud Developer with a strong background in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), and Core Data Services (CDS). This role involves developing, extending, and integrating SAP S/4HANA cloud applications using modern SAP technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAPs cloud architecture and development best practices, with a hands-on approach to solution design, coding, and deployment.

This is a hybrid contract role based in Hyderabad, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :

- Design, develop, and enhance SAP S/4HANA Cloud applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS Views, and OData services.

SAP BTP Integration :

- Build, deploy, and manage custom applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using CAP, Node.js, or Java-based extensions.

System Extensions :

- Implement side-by-side and in-app extensions leveraging SAP S/4HANA Cloud extensibility features.

API & Data Modeling :

- Develop scalable APIs, CDS data models, and annotations to enable efficient data access and service exposure.

Performance Optimization :

- Ensure performance tuning, data optimization, and system reliability for large-scale cloud deployments.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with functional consultants, SAP Basis teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Version Control & CI/CD :

- Utilize Git, Jenkins, and SAP CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of SAP extensions.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance :

- Perform root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and support for deployed applications in SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments.

Technical Skills & Expertise :

Core SAP Technologies :

- SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private Edition)

- SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)

- ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

- Core Data Services (CDS) & Annotations

- OData / Fiori Elements Development

Programming & Integration :

- ABAP on Cloud, CAP (Cloud Application Programming) Model

- Node.js or Java for BTP extensions

- REST / SOAP / GraphQL APIs

Database & Infrastructure :

- SAP HANA Database and SQLScript

- Familiarity with Linux and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

DevOps & Tools :

- Git, Jenkins, Transport Management in SAP Cloud

- SAP Web IDE / Business Application Studio

- CI/CD Pipelines and Version Control

Other Competencies :

- Understanding of SAP Fiori UX principles

- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector and Identity Authentication Services

- Strong debugging, testing, and performance analysis skills

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- Minimum of 6 years of total IT experience with at least 3+ years in SAP S/4HANA Cloud development.

- Proven experience in RAP, CDS, and BTP extension development.

- Solid understanding of modern cloud architectures and microservices-based design.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
