SAP PTD Data Migration Lead

Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP PTD (Plan to Delivery) Data Migration Lead with a minimum of 15+ years of experience in SAP functional domains and substantial hands-on expertise in data migration across PTD and cross-functional areas. The ideal candidate will serve as the Data Lead, responsible for driving end-to-end data migration activities, facilitating cross-team discussions, ensuring high-quality data readiness, and acting as the primary client-facing representative during the migration lifecycle. This role requires a strong combination of functional expertise, data migration leadership, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the full lifecycle of PTD data migration, including planning, data assessment, mapping, extraction, transformation, validation, and load.

- Define and execute the data migration strategy, methodology, and roadmap for PTD and related functional streams.

- Coordinate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure seamless data processing and migration readiness.

- Drive data-related workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and status reviews with client stakeholders.

- Leverage strong SAP PTD functional knowledge to interpret business processes, data structures, and integration touchpoints.

- Assess existing PTD data models and recommend improvements or corrective actions for migration.

- Act as the primary subject-matter expert for all PTD data topics, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

- Serve as the client-facing lead for all PTD data migration-related discussions.

- Present migration plans, dashboards, data quality reports, and cutover readiness to business and leadership teams.

- Ensure alignment between business requirements, functional processes, and data migration outcomes.

- Manage expectations, risks, timelines, interdependencies, and escalation issues.

- Work with other module leads (OTC, RTR, MM, PP, EWM, etc.) to ensure cross-functional data consistency and alignment.

- Collaborate with technical teams responsible for data extraction, ETL, transformation logic, load tools, and data validation scripts.

- Support testing cycles by providing data sets, validating loads, and ensuring that functional scenarios reflect accurate migrated data.

- Define data quality metrics, cleansing rules, validation checkpoints, and acceptance criteria.

- Lead mock loads, trial runs, and production data cutovers.

- Ensure adherence to project governance standards, security guidelines, and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 15+ years of SAP experience, with deep expertise in the Plan to Delivery (PTD) module.

- Proven track record of leading large-scale SAP data migration programs, preferably for S/4HANA transformations.

- Strong functional understanding of PTD processes, master data, transactional flows, and integration points.

- Hands-on experience in : Data mapping Data quality assessment Data cleansing Validation and reconciliation Cutover planning Mock load execution

- Ability to lead client workshops, steer conversations, and communicate complex data concepts to business stakeholders.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

- Experience working with data migration tools and accelerators (SAP Migration Cockpit, BODS, Syniti, LSMW, etc.) is preferred.

- Ability to troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
