We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SAP PS (Project Systems) Developer to design, develop, implement, and support SAP PS solutions that align with business requirements and project management processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP PS module development, configuration, and integration with related SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP.

This role requires strong technical expertise in ABAP programming, a good understanding of project management processes, and the ability to work closely with functional consultants and business users to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Design & Development :

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP PS technical designs.

- Design, develop, and customize solutions using ABAP, User Exits, Enhancements, BADIs, and BAPIs specific to SAP PS.

- Develop RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) objects for SAP PS.

- Work on custom reports, dashboards, and integrations involving project structures (WBS, Networks, Activities, etc.

- Configure and support Project Definitions, WBS Elements, Networks, Milestones, and related master data within SAP PS.

- Develop and optimize interfaces between SAP PS and other modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP.

Implementation & Support :

- Participate in all project phases - requirement gathering, design, development, testing, go-live, and post-production support.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to the SAP PS module.

- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.

- Support system upgrades, patches, and enhancement pack implementations for SAP PS components.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with detailed documentation.

Performance Optimization & Maintenance :

- Ensure system performance and reliability by optimizing code, improving processes, and managing large datasets efficiently.

- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation of all developments and changes in the system.

- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards, security policies, and governance models.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :

- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand project costing, budgeting, and resource planning processes.

- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities leveraging SAP PS and related technologies.

- Stay current with the latest SAP innovations, including SAP S/4HANA, and advise on upgrade or migration strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 4 - 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP PS development and support.

- Strong technical proficiency in SAP ABAP, including classical and object-oriented ABAP, enhancements, and debugging.

- In-depth knowledge of SAP PS master data and structures - Project Definitions, WBS Elements, Networks, Activities, Cost Planning, and Settlement.

- Experience with RICEF developments specific to PS module.

- Strong understanding of project accounting and integration points with FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP modules.

- Familiarity with PS Costing, Budgeting, Milestones, and Progress Analysis.

- Hands-on experience with BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements related to project systems.

- Proficiency in working with ALV reports, SmartForms, and data migration tools (LSMW/BODS).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA PS and Fiori-based extensions.

- Exposure to SAP Project Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) solutions.

- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, Change Request Management (ChaRM), and transport management.

- Understanding of integration with third-party project management or time-tracking tools.

- SAP Certification in Project Systems or ABAP Development is a plus
