SAP PS Consultant - Configuration & Support

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Project System (PS) Consultant with 79 years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP PS modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project structures, cost planning, budgeting, revenue recognition, and integration with other SAP modules. This role requires strong analytical skills, functional expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and implement functionalities within the SAP PS module, ensuring alignment with business project management processes.

- Create and manage Project Structures (WBS elements, networks, activities) and maintain related master data.

- Manage and support Cost Planning, including cost estimation, cost element planning, and resource-related planning.

- Oversee Revenue Planning and execute configuration for customer projects.

- Handle Budgeting and Availability Control, ensuring proper configuration of tolerances, budget checks, and budget supplements/returns.

- Work on Customer Projects, including Result Analysis (RA) setup and execution.

- Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with other key SAP modules such as :

a. MM Material management

b. SD Sales and distribution

c. PP Production planning

d. CO Controlling

e. CATS Cross-Application Time Sheets

- Analyze business requirements and prepare comprehensive Functional Specifications for custom developments, enhancements, and reports.

- Work with PS-specific tables, BAPIs, and standard objects to support development and integration activities.

- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end project solutions.

- Provide ongoing production support, resolve functional issues, and ensure system stability.

- Participate in testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7 to 9 years of hands-on experience in SAP PS configuration and support.

- Strong knowledge of SAP PS components including :

a. Project Definition and WBS

b. Networks and Activities

c. Cost & Revenue Planning

d. Budgeting & Availability Control

e. Settlement, RA, and Cost Object Management

- Experience with Result Analysis (RA) for customer projects.

- In-depth understanding of integration points with MM, SD, PP, CO, and CATS modules.

- Ability to write detailed Functional Specifications for RICEFW objects.

- Knowledge of PS-related tables, BAPIs, and master data structures.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with business users and technical teams.
