Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Functional Consultant - Logistics (MM/WM) with strong cross-functional expertise in Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Transportation Management (TM). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in production support, system optimization, and strategic SAP initiatives, including enhancements, upgrades, and global rollouts, ensuring smooth manufacturing and supply chain operations across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Functional Support & Operations :

- Provide end-to-end functional support for SAP Logistics modules with primary focus on MM and WM.

- Handle production support activities, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.

- Collaborate closely with business users to understand requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.

- Ensure system stability, performance optimization, and compliance with business processes.

Configuration & Enhancements :

- Perform SAP configuration and customization in MM and WM modules, including integration with PP, QM, and TM.

- Lead and support system enhancements, change requests, and process improvements.

- Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scenarios.

Project & Implementation Support :

- Actively participate in SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and migration projects.

- Support global rollout initiatives, ensuring alignment with standardized business processes.

- Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, BASIS, integration) to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.

Integration & Cross-Module Collaboration :

- Ensure seamless integration between MM, WM, PP, QM, and TM modules.

- Support end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management, production planning, warehouse execution, and logistics execution.

- Work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, quality, procurement, and logistics teams.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer :

- Develop and maintain process flows, functional design documents, and configuration guides.

- Support end-user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and documentation for business teams.

Required Skills & Experience :

Functional Expertise :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Functional Consultant with strong focus on MM and WM.

- Solid working knowledge of PP, QM, and TM modules and their integration with MM/WM.

- Experience supporting manufacturing and supply chain business processes in SAP environments.

Technical & Process Knowledge :

- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, production planning, and quality processes.

- Experience in production support, enhancements, and project-based implementations.

- Ability to write clear functional specifications and work with technical teams on developments.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently in a remote, global team environment.

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with global SAP rollouts or multi-country implementations.

- Exposure to S/4HANA logistics modules is a strong advantage.

- Prior experience in contract-to-hire engagements is preferred.
