SAP MDM Consultant

Role Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

MDM Strategy & Implementation :

- Develop and implement MDM frameworks aligned with manufacturing business processes.

- Configure and manage master data domains including Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Vendors, and Customers.

- Ensure ECC integration with shop floor systems, PLM, and MES platforms.

Data Governance & Quality :

- Conduct data profiling and cleansing to eliminate duplicates and inconsistencies.

- Implement validation rules and workflows for data creation and change requests.

Data Migration & Integration :

- Collaborate with technical teams to design and test IDOC interfaces and middleware integrations (e.g., SAP PI/PO).

- Support integration with external systems like supplier portals and inventory management tools.

Stakeholder Engagement :

- Provide training and documentation for data stewards and end-users in manufacturing departments.

- Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure alignment on data needs.

Project Lifecycle Support :

- Support UAT and cutover planning for master data-related activities.

- Monitor post-go-live data quality and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of SAP MDM experience, with at least 2 full-cycle ECC implementations in manufacturing.

- Deep understanding of manufacturing master data structures and dependencies.

- Experience with SAP ECC modules: MM, PP, SD, and QM.

- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as discrete, process, or repetitive production.

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
