SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant

Key Responsibilities :

As a seasoned SAP MDG Professional, you will be expected to :

1. Solution Design & Architecture :

- Lead the design and blueprinting of SAP MDG solutions for core master data objects (e.g., Material, Customer, Vendor/Supplier, Finance/GL).

- Define the MDG architecture, including deployment styles (Hub vs. Co-Deployment/S/4HANA), and integration strategy with SAP ECC/S/4HANA and non-SAP systems.

- Act as a Solution Lead or Stream Lead, guiding junior team members and managing complex solution delivery.

2. Configuration & Development (Techno-Functional Focus) :

- Expertise in Data Modeling and enhancing standard/custom data models.

- Configure Process Models (Change Requests), UI Modeling (FPM), and Rule-Based Workflows (BRFplus).

- Perform ABAP development (Object-Oriented) for BADIs, Enhancements, User Exits, and Custom Logic

within MDG processes (e.g., derivations, validations).

- Configure Data Replication Framework (DRF) for distributing master data to consuming systems.

- Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing for data harmonization and quality.

3. Functional & Process Expertise (Functional Focus) :

- Conduct business requirement workshops, gap analysis, and translate business needs into technical specifications.

- Define data governance policies, data quality rules, and data stewardship processes.

- Experience with Customer Vendor Integration (CVI) in an S/4HANA context.

4. Quality Assurance & Delivery :

- Conduct Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

- Manage project deliverables, timelines, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum of 2-3 end-to-end SAP MDG implementation cycles in a global environment.

Technical/Techno-Functional Skills :

- Strong proficiency in SAP MDG on ECC and/or S/4HANA platforms.

- Expertise in MDG components : Data Modeling, UI Modeling (FPM), Process Modeling, and BRFplus (Rule-Based Workflows).

- Proficient in ABAP OO for MDG enhancements and customizations (BADIs, Classes).

- Hands-on experience with Data Replication (DRF, ALE/IDOCs, SOA/Web Services).

- Knowledge of MDG-C (Consolidation) and MDG-Q (Data Quality).

Functional Skills :

- Excellent communication, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills.
