SAP MDG Technical Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant to join our team and support enterprise-level Master Data Governance (MDG) projects. The role involves designing, configuring, and implementing SAP MDG solutions with a focus on data modeling, process design, integration, and enhancements. The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to ensure efficient governance, high-quality data, and seamless integration across systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for master data domains such as material, customer, vendor, and finance

- Configure and customize SAP MDG framework including data models, change request workflows, UI modeling, validations, derivations, and enhancements

- Develop custom applications, user exits, BADIs, BRF+ rules, and FPM configurations to meet business requirements

- Implement data replication and integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems using SOA, ALE, IDocs, and web services

- Collaborate with business and functional teams to gather requirements, analyze as-is processes, and design to-be solutions in SAP MDG

- Ensure compliance with data governance standards, security, and quality guidelines

- Provide support for SAP MDG upgrades, patches, and performance tuning

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal impact on business operations

- Document technical designs, configurations, and processes in line with project standards

- Guide junior consultants and provide knowledge transfer sessions when required

Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- 5 to 10 years of experience in SAP with at least 3 to 5 years in SAP MDG technical consulting

- Strong expertise in SAP MDG data modeling, UI configuration, workflow, and BRF+

- Proficiency in ABAP development including enhancements, BADIs, user exits, OData services, and integration techniques

- Hands-on experience with data replication and integration using ALE, SOA, IDocs, and web services

- Good understanding of master data processes in finance, customer, vendor, and material management

- Experience working in both ECC and S/4HANA environments

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex technical requirements

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP MDG certification

- Experience with SAP Fiori applications and UI5 development for MDG

- Knowledge of data migration tools like SAP Data Services or SAP LTMC

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
