SAP MDG Finance Technical Consultant - Implementation & Configuration

Role : Senior SAP MDG Technical Consultant - Finance (MDG-F)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP MDG Technical Consultant - Finance (MDG-F) to join our enterprise master data team. This pivotal role requires 7-10 years of SAP experience, with a minimum of 4+ years dedicated to SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), specifically focusing on the Finance domain.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and functional expertise to lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and support of SAP MDG solutions, ensuring robust data governance, high-quality master data, and seamless integration across the ECC/S4HANA landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

MDG-Finance Implementation & Configuration :

- Expertly design and configure MDG data models (e.g., 0G, 0K, 0P), including entity types, attributes, and relationships, specifically for GL accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Company Codes.

- Design and configure the MDG User Interface (UI) using Floorplan Manager (FPM), including custom fields, UI grouping, and dynamic behavior.

- Implement complex validation and derivation rules using Business Rule Framework plus (BRF+) to ensure data accuracy and compliance at the point of entry.

- Design, configure, and maintain robust workflow processes for multi-step approvals and data changes within the MDG Change Request (CR) process.

Architecture, Integration, and Data Quality :

- Configure and manage data replication mechanisms, primarily utilizing SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), but also including ALE/IDoc where necessary.

- Define, implement, and monitor enterprise data governance policies, standards, and controls specific to the Finance master data domain.

- Play a key role in data quality initiatives, including defining data quality rules and integrating with data

quality tools.

Stakeholder Management and Support :

- Conduct technical and functional workshops, training sessions, and support rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

- Provide expert post-go-live support and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and usability of MDG processes.

- Work closely with technical development teams for custom enhancements and complex integration solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 7- 10 years of experience in SAP, with a minimum of 4+ years dedicated to SAP MDG Finance (MDG-F).

- MDG-F Expertise : Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP MDG-F data models and their structures.

- SAP FICO Integration : Deep functional understanding of SAP FICO integration points and how MDG master data impacts financial processes.

- Technical Configuration : Mandatory hands-on experience with core MDG configuration: BRF+, FPM, and workflow design (e.g., using Process Observer or extended workflows).
