SAP MDG Developer - Implementation & Support

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Developer/Consultant to lead and support end-to-end MDG implementations and governance initiatives. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure master data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across various SAP landscapes including ECC and S/4HANA. The role requires a strong blend of functional knowledge and technical expertise in SAP MDG modules to design and develop scalable, compliant master data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and configure SAP MDG data models for different master data domains such as Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance, and others.

- Customize and extend MDG UI using Floorplan Manager (FPM) and SAP UI technologies.

- Design and implement complex approval workflows using SAP MDG Workflow and Business Rule Framework plus (BRF+).

- Develop and maintain Data Replication Framework (DRF) for seamless data synchronization between SAP MDG and connected systems.

- Develop and implement custom ABAP enhancements, validations, and enhancements within SAP MDG to meet business-specific requirements.

- Perform data migration and data cleansing activities using SAP tools and custom programs as necessary.

- Integrate SAP MDG with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and third-party systems ensuring data consistency across platforms.

- Collaborate with data governance teams to define and enforce master data policies, data lifecycle management, and data quality standards.

- Support audit and compliance requirements by enabling robust data controls and validations.

- Develop test plans and execute unit, integration, and regression testing for MDG configurations and developments.

- Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of MDG processes and systems.

- Work closely with business analysts, data stewards, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into MDG solutions.

- Prepare comprehensive documentation including design specs, configuration guides, and user manuals.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Experience :

- Strong expertise in SAP MDG Data Modeling, UI/FPM Configuration, Workflow Design, and Business Rules (BRF+).

- Proven experience with ABAP development for MDG enhancements and customizations.

- Familiarity with Data Replication Framework (DRF) and SAP integration techniques.

- Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori and FPM for customizing MDG UI.

- Ability to write complex BRF+ rules and workflow processes.

- Solid ABAP programming skills for developing custom enhancements and validations.

- Experience with SAP data migration and data quality tools is a plus.
