Job Title : SAP Expert / Master Data Specialist.

Location : Pune (Hybrid).

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Expert / Master Data Specialist with extensive expertise in SAP S/4HANA Cloud MDG (Master Data Governance) and over 10 years of experience in implementing and managing Master Data across complex, global environments.

The ideal candidate will have successfully delivered 3+ global implementations and will play a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate data governance across our SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and support the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP S/4HANA Cloud MDG (Master Data Governance) solutions.

- Oversee the creation, modification, and governance of master data objects across the SAP system.

- Ensure data quality and consistency in key master data domains, including Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, etc.

- Collaborate with business teams and stakeholders to define and establish master data governance and policies across the enterprise.

- Provide subject matter expertise on Master Data Governance processes, best practices, and tools within the SAP S/4HANA environment.

- Design, configure, and maintain MDG workflows, data models, and data validation rules to meet business requirements.

- Support and manage the data migration process and data quality improvement initiatives.

- Manage integration between SAP MDG and other SAP modules or non-SAP applications (e.g., SAP ERP, SAP BW, third-party systems).

- Perform root-cause analysis, resolve data issues, and ensure continuous data quality improvement.

- Drive global standardization initiatives for master data management and governance across various SAP systems.

- Provide training, mentoring, and support to junior team members and business users regarding SAP MDG functionalities and best practices.

- Coordinate and manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements related to SAP MDG solutions.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 10+ years of experience working with SAP Master Data, including SAP S/4HANA Cloud MDG (Master Data Governance).

- 3+ global SAP MDG implementations, with a strong focus on Master Data Governance processes and best practices.

- Expertise in the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA MDG solutions, including data models, workflows, and data governance strategies.

- In-depth knowledge of Master Data domains such as Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, etc. and their integration with various SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, etc.).

- Strong understanding of SAP Data Migration tools and techniques.

- Experience working with global teams and leading cross-functional, multi-country projects.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to lead, mentor, and guide team members and stakeholders.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.

- Certifications in SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, or related technologies are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, and integration of MDG with other SAP systems and third-party applications.

- Experience with data governance tools or frameworks beyond SAP MDG.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile project environments.
