SAP HANA Database Administrator

Job Title : SAP HANA DBA (Remote)

Experience Required : 10+ Years

Project Overview :

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of SAP DBA experience, including a strong track record managing and optimizing SAP HANA environments.

This is a remote contract position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a global project with a collaborative technical team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and maintain SAP HANA databases in a complex, enterprise-level environment.

- Perform HANA installation, upgrades, patches, and version migrations.

- Implement and manage backup/recovery strategies, including HANA Studio, Cockpit, and Backint.

- Monitor performance, tune database parameters, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

- Configure and maintain HANA System Replication (HSR) and High Availability (HA) solutions.

- Support SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and other integrated SAP components as needed.

- Work closely with SAP Basis and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability and

scalability.

- Provide production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.

- Document all changes, processes, and support activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of dedicated hands-on experience with SAP HANA.

- Proven experience with SAP HANA installation, upgrades, tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Experience with Linux OS (RHEL/SUSE) and basic shell scripting.

- Strong understanding of HANA architecture, MDC, memory management, and data lifecycle.

- Knowledge of SAP HANA on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or SAP BTP) is a strong

advantage.

- Experience with HANA Cockpit, HANA Studio, and system replication.

- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results remotely.

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a distributed team.
