Experience : 4 - 12+ Years

Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days preferred

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HANA Consultant to join our team for an exciting project with our banking client in Chennai. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer with a strong background in SAP HANA, capable of working effectively in either an OLAP (Data Warehouse) or OLTP environment with significant ETL expertise. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions that meet the complex needs of a financial institution.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP HANA Development :

- Design, develop, and implement complex data models in SAP HANA (e.g., Calculation Views, Analytical Views, Attribute Views).

- Create and maintain SAP HANA stored procedures and functions using SQLScript.

- Develop and optimize ETL processes within the SAP HANA environment or integrating with external ETL tools.

Data Warehousing (OLAP) / Transactional (OLTP) Expertise :

- Apply a strong understanding of both OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) systems and their distinct requirements.

- Develop solutions tailored to either high-volume transactional processing or complex analytical reporting needs for the banking client.

ETL Pipeline Development :

- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into SAP HANA.

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the ETL process.

Performance Tuning & Optimization :

- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SAP HANA data models, SQL queries, and ETL processes.

- Optimize existing HANA artifacts and ETL jobs for improved efficiency and faster data processing.

- Conduct performance analysis and implement best practices for query optimization.

Data Analysis and Architecture :

- Participate in data analysis and profiling to understand source system data, identify data gaps, and propose effective data solutions.

- Contribute to the design of scalable and robust data architectures within the SAP HANA ecosystem.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Batch Scheduling & Automation :

- Integrate SAP HANA and ETL jobs with enterprise batch scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or similar platforms.

- Automate data loading, processing, and reporting tasks to ensure timely data availability.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business users, functional consultants, and other technical teams.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP HANA and related data solutions.

Qualifications :

- 4 to 12+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP HANA Developer or a similar role.

- Proven expertise in developing and optimizing ETL pipelines within a data warehousing or transactional environment.

- Strong proficiency in SQLScript/stored procedures for SAP HANA.

- Solid understanding of data analysis and data architecture principles.

- Experience with batch scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys, or equivalent.

- Clear understanding of the differences and interactions between OLTP and OLAP systems.

- Previous experience working in the banking or financial services sector is highly desirable.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced client environment.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
