Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Application Security Consultant to join our team in Bangalore. With 5-10 years of dedicated experience, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions for SAP HANA environments. This role demands deep technical expertise in SAP HANA security models, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical SAP data.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security roles and authorizations within SAP HANA, including analytic privileges, object privileges, system privileges, and package privileges.

- Configure and manage user provisioning and de-provisioning processes in SAP HANA, ensuring adherence to security policies and compliance requirements.

- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of SAP HANA systems to identify and mitigate potential risks.

- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures specific to the SAP HANA environment.

- Troubleshoot complex access and authorization issues in SAP HANA, providing timely and effective resolutions.

- Collaborate with application teams, database administrators, and compliance officers to ensure security best practices are integrated throughout the SAP landscape.

- Implement and manage data encryption at rest and in transit for SAP HANA.

- Configure and monitor audit logging within SAP HANA to track security-relevant events.

- Provide expert guidance on SAP HANA security architecture and participate in solution design discussions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP HANA security features, patches, and industry best practices.

- Assist in the integration of SAP HANA security with enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.

Required Skills :

- 5-10 years of experience in SAP security, with a significant focus on SAP HANA Application Security.

- Strong understanding of SAP HANA security architecture, including HDI containers, XS Advanced (XSA), and database security.

- Expertise in designing and implementing SAP HANA roles, privileges, and analytic privileges.

- Hands-on experience with user and role management in SAP HANA.

- Knowledge of data encryption techniques for SAP HANA.

- Experience with SAP HANA auditing and logging.

- Familiarity with SAP GRC Access Control for managing SAP HANA security is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex security issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical security concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0 (Security) or similar certifications.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA security concepts.

- Knowledge of cloud security principles, especially as they relate to SAP HANA deployments on public clouds (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
