SAP Finance Control Consultant

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant with strong expertise in Indian localization, particularly around GST configuration and compliance, to support the implementation of an Indian legal entity into an existing SAP accounting system based in Germany. The successful candidate will work closely with global teams to configure, integrate, and optimize SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FI/CO) modules in line with Indian statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and extend tax schema in SAP to comply with Indian GST regulations, including intra-state, inter-state, and reverse charge scenarios

- Support GST reporting and compliance requirements within the SAP system (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation, etc.)

- Set up a new company code for the Indian entity, including chart of accounts, fiscal year variants, tax procedures, and relevant master data

- Align SAP configurations with Indian statutory and localization needs including TDS, withholding taxes, input/output taxes, etc.

- Collaborate with finance, compliance, and IT teams in Germany and India to ensure accurate and efficient integration

- Develop and maintain documentation related to configuration and functional specifications

- Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams on the configured processes

- Test and validate end-to-end financial processes including procure-to-pay (P2P) and order-to-cash (O2C) in the Indian context

Requirements :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO modules, with a strong focus on Indian localization

- Demonstrated expertise in GST configuration, tax procedures, and compliance reporting

- Experience with company code setup, integration, and configuration in multinational SAP environments

- Solid understanding of Indian financial and tax regulations, especially as they relate to enterprise systems

- Proficient in functional documentation, testing, and stakeholder collaboration

- Experience in global SAP rollout projects or multi-entity financial implementations

- Knowledge of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and consolidation processes

- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA

- Experience working with remote international teams, especially European counterparts
