The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for supporting, implementing, and optimizing SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.


The role includes working closely with finance teams, understanding business requirements, configuring SAP systems, and ensuring smooth financial processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP FI (Financial Accounting)

- Configure and support FI modules :

1. General Ledger (GL)

2. Accounts Payable (AP)

3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

4. Asset Accounting (AA)

5. Bank Accounting

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Ensure accurate financial postings and integration with other modules.

- Handle tax configuration, payment terms, and bank interfaces.

SAP CO (Controlling) :

- Configure CO modules including :

i. Cost Center Accounting

ii. Profit Center Accounting

iii. Internal Orders

iv. Product Costing (optional)

v. Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

- COA, Sub legder masters

- Migration of legacy data

- Support budget planning and cost allocation processes.

Project & Support Activities :

- Gather business requirements (BRD) and translate them into SAP solutions.

- Prepare Functional Specifications for developments (RICEFW).

- Perform system testing, UAT, and documentation.

- Provide end-user training and post-go-live support.

- Collaborate with MM, SD, PP, HR, and other module teams.

- Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions.

- SPOC with SAP implementation partner

Compliance & Process Improvement :

- Ensure solutions follow accounting standards and internal controls.

- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.

- Support audit activities and financial reporting requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.

- 5 to 10+ years of hands- n SAP FICO experience with Go Live implementation experience

- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).

- Ability to configure FI & CO modules independently.

- Experience with system support, enhancements, and rollouts.

- Good understanding of integration with MM, SD, and PP.

- Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.

- Knowledge of Fiori applications.

- Basic understanding of ABAP debugging (added advantage).

- SAP Certification (FI/CO) is a plus.

- Strong business communication and stakeholder management.

Most Important :

- Candidate should be willing to work in Tanzania
