SAP FICO Consultant - Implementation & Configuration

Job Summary :

We are looking to onboard experienced SAP FICO Consultants with 45 years and 68 years of hands-on experience in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end SAP implementations, business process understanding, and post-go-live support, with an ability to translate business requirements into robust SAP solutions.

The SAP FICO Consultant will be responsible for requirement gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP FI/CO modules.

The role demands a deep understanding of core finance and controlling processes, integration with other modules, and a strong client-facing presence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and execute end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, enhancements, and support engagements.

- Gather business requirements, conduct gap analysis, and design scalable SAP solutions across FI and CO modules.

- Configure key SAP FICO components including :

1. FI-GL (General Ledger)

2. FI-AP (Accounts Payable)

3. FI-AR (Accounts Receivable)

4. FI-AA (Asset Accounting)

5. Bank Accounting

6. CO-CEA (Cost Element Accounting)

7. CO-CCA (Cost Center Accounting)

8. CO-PCA (Profit Center Accounting)

9. CO-IO (Internal Orders)

10. Product Costing (CO-PC)

11. CO-PA (Profitability Analysis)

- Prepare and review Functional Specifications, test cases, and system documentation.

- Conduct and support Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

- Provide user training and documentation under the Train-the-Trainer model.

- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and change requests as per SLA guidelines.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration (MM, SD, PP, etc.)

- Support interfaces and integration technologies including IDocs, BAPIs, BADIs, ABAP enhancements, and middleware tools (e.g., TIBCO).

- Participate in multi-country rollouts and localization projects, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements.

- Support financial closing, reporting, and reconciliation processes.

- Work closely with business users and stakeholders to provide SAP FICO expertise and guidance.

- Maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong configuration and implementation experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA.

- Expertise in SAP FICO sub-modules listed above.

- Solid knowledge of integration with MM, SD, and TRM (Treasury & Risk Management).

- Experience in Fund Management, FICO-Middleware integrations, and external systems connectivity.

- Working knowledge of validations, substitutions, and workflow management in SAP FICO.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to handle complex business scenarios and design scalable solutions.

- Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Queries, InfoTypes) for operational and strategic reporting.
